Christmas Present

This Christmas is brought to you by baby Sarin. My wife had her first ultra-sound today and we found out that we are having a little girl. Check that kid out!

I remember looking at other people's ultra-sound images and thinking "what the hell is that alien?" I think it is pretty funny that I now show my ultra-sound image off to anyone with the capability of sight.

DB work: Things are very busy. We have a lot of projects starting, taking place, and finishing up. The project that has my most attention is the Antei System description. Raken has just sent me what I hope is the final version. We may have a few changes to the GMRG training facility, but other than that, it looks golden. The next step is having Jac bless off and then we can get it out to the public.

RL work: My mom is pretty sure I am a party planner. I have a memorial event and social dinner planned this Friday. The XVIII Airborne Corps Commander, LTG Vines will be our keynote speaker. The entire General staff (Commanding General and his two Deputy Commanding Generals) from the 101st will also be in attendance. Because of this, I am going to be swamped on Thursday and Friday. I should be back to full time DB stuff on Saturday.

Muz is the bomb

Check out the photo to the right. Yeah, that is me. Muz did that photo based off of this one. My wife had a good laugh when she saw my Dark Jedi version. Big thanks to Muz for his work!

Oh yeah, P:DGM, M:DGMs will be announced tonight with my report. My report also mentions the GJW. To tell you the truth, I am fired up about my little Plot idea. It has a lot of elements that people have been calling for and I hope it can live up to the intense scrutiny that these competitions often face. I am going to have a damn good team helping me set it up (See: Donitz and Raken) and I think we might make something pretty fun. I think a GJW should give people a reason to play, and hopefully we do that.

Lord Tyranus

My dog, Lord "Ty" Tyranus has turned my family into early risers. Ty insists that we are awake by 0700 on the weekends and stands at the door waiting for a walk. This morning's blog is brought to you by Ty.

P:DGM and M:DGMs should be announced some time today. I should also have a report out.

Project List

I put together a project list for Jac to review the other night and from it we determined a merit list for projects. I threw quite a few of the projects out of the window and will return to them at a later date. For the time being, I have a top three and that is my priority. 1. Society of Envoys, 2. Saga of the Clans, and 3. Antei Project.

I plan on having all three of these projects out of the way by the first week of December, and then I can start in on some of my pet projects. All in all, it is quite a bit to do. Fun times.

Real life: Another day where I am not quite sure where I am working. I am either a Brigade Assistant S3 or a Battalion Assistant S3. No one seems to know where I will be working for the next couple of months.

16 Applications and Counting

P:DGM and M:DGM appear to be sought after positions. I have received 16 total applications for the positions and I have been highly impressed with the applicants. I will have a selection by Saturday of this week.

In other news, I have read over several Internal Reviews from DC members and Consuls and will be responding to each leader.

Real life, looks like I will be busy with a 15k project until 1 December. 15k does not seem like a whole lot when I spent a budget of 937k last year, but this project is a very delicate and high profile. Wish me luck.

100 Emails a Day!

I have been Deputy Grand Master of the Dark Brotherhood for less than 3 days and yet I have received over 300 emails! Jac was kind enough to send me 50 or so emails on the current projects in the Dark Brotherhood and the database was kind enough to generate about 200 emails last night. I expected mail, but not this much.

Anyways, next up on the agenda is trimming down the projects that Xanos was working on. My first tasks are to finish up the Antei System Description, identify an expanded duty description for the KCB, and rework the GMRG reset. Fun stuff!

Odd news, my wife went to a local fortune teller (my sister-in-laws boyfriend's aunt) to find out the sex of our baby. Score one for the creepy 85 year old lady for saying a boy.
